FAQ

The “not just design” FAQ

Frequently asked questions that come to me in day to day life, not limited to design. This page like the rest of the site is constantly changing based on what I get asked on the AbhiUX emails or by hiring managers/ recruiters.

From where again?

I am from Bangalore, Karnataka, India. For the past 3 years, I have lived and worked in Europe.

– 2 years (current location) in Ireland.
– 1 year in Luxembourg

Can you legally work in Ireland?

Yes, I have a Visa that allows me to legally live and work in Ireland.

Do you need sponsorship?

I do not require additional sponsorship to work in Ireland.

Do you have a car license?

I am in the process of getting an Irish license. I have 20 years of driving/riding experience.

Do you regret having taken a break in your career to do other things?

No. Given that I took it just before the pandemic, makes it even more valuable.

The carefree experience is something that the world will take its own sweet time going back to (if ever) and during that time, the world will be a changed place. Hoping for a better 2021.

I heard you do probono work. Will you do my work for free?

I do not charge for probono work, but pro-bono is not the same as working for free.

If you are interested, look at the Reach Out section on the AbhiUX pro bono page. Also, look at my resume and see if I am the right fit for your project.

What video games do you play?

I like simulations. Virtual Reality (VR) is where it is for me at the moment.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 got VR support in Dec ’20 and I want to fly to every country in the world, preferably in a small propeller GA aircraft. May take me a few years to complete. I do realise it is a tough challenge. I am somewhere in Africa, the last time I put in proper flying hours.
– Racing and driving on my simulation rig, also in VR.

Is it not a bad design that needs an FAQ page?

No. 🤷
However, if you really have strong opinions about it, I am always up for a discussion.

Why was FAQ moved to its own page?

Optimising loading time for the home page and also because I decided to bury the link to this a little deeper within the Contact Me section.
